Bio and photo for new company
For your bio for a company (USA) should you write it in the first or third person? Also for a profile pic what is appropriate? Can you have a pet in your photo?

What does the company for which said bio and photo are for say about it?

You probably want to follow whatever other folks in the company are doing. If these go up on a public web site (common for senior folks), follow their lead. If they are only posted internally and you can't easily access samples, ask whoever made the request to clarify. Some companies are going to want a very straight-laced picture, some will welcome something more fun and personalized.
